Registered Apprenticeships
TBA has registered a two-year rough carpentry apprenticeship with Apprenticeship TN and plans to register additional trades for implementation during the New Nissan Stadium project.
Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction provided by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) to prepare workers for highly skilled careers. A key component of each registered apprenticeship is a schedule that includes a minimum of three wages: a starting wage at or above minimum wage, intermediate wages provided upon selected milestones, and an exit wage when an apprentice has completed the program.
This earn-while-you-learn system enables participants to move to the top of the wage scale in three to five years. Additionally, TCAT Nashville has funding to cover all the apprentice's education costs, making it cost-neutral to the employer.
Community Partners
TBA is partnering with local community and nonprofit organizations to ensure success for those in our programs through wraparound support services.
